Matthew 2:1-18

Luke 2:4-7

Herod

• He wanted to remove anything that would take his power or authority
• He was afraid this child would remove him from power

Scribes & Priests

• Indifferent
• Too busy doing “religious” things

Wise Men

• Actively searching for Jesus
• Gave Him gifts (time & money) & worshipped Him
• Making room for Jesus is the most important

Romans 1:21-32

Matthew 4:13-17

• “the people living in darkness have seen a great light”
• “God doesn’t require sacrifice, He requires obedience.”

You?

• Have you made room in your heart for Jesus?
• Knowing about Him is not enough
• Christmas is about Christ
• Would you have come to the manger?

“Each of us is an innkeeper who decides to make room for Jesus.”
