Jesus’ revolutionary and favorite term for God is “Father.” Matt 6:9, Romans 8:14-15
But what kind of a father is he?
He is a father who is approachable and desires a connection with you – He will always be there. Matt 7:7-8, Heb 4:16, Isaiah 43:1-2,5
He is a father who promises to give us what is best guaranteed! Matt 7:9-11
The best of an earthly father multiplied infinitely!
But do we believe that?
Problem: the tendency is to run God’s actions through our filters and find him coming up short.
Truth: We lack perspective. He has total perspective! Psalm 139:1-4, Matt 10:29-31
Like a good father, God tells us in advance the kind of dad he is, then says “Trust Me!”
Do you struggle with that? You’re in good, honest company and God understands the struggle. Mark 9:22-24
Still – the call is clear – Trust your Dad! Matt 18:1-3, 19:14, Luke 12:24-28
