- Choosing God’s destiny for your church requires “Seeing what Jesus sees” and “Wanting what Jesus wants” for your church.
- Who does Jesus see when he looks at your church?
- He sees you, people He dearly loves! (1 John 3:1)
- But He also sees beyond you to the harvest all around you. (John 4:35, John 3:16) It’s about the “whoevers.“
- God sees the harvest and asks you to see them. (Luke 10:1-3, 2 Peter 3:9, 2 Cor 5:19-20)
- What does Jesus want for your church?
- Jesus wants disciple makers, not just church attenders. (Matt 28:19-20)
- A Disciple: “Someone who is becoming more and more like Jesus and less and less like themselves as they pursue a growing relationship with God, with other believers, and with those who need Him.” (2 Cor 3:18)
- Jesus want outward engagement rather than inward “vacuuming.” (Acts 1:8, 8:1, Matt 7:13-14)
- The Bridge’s Kingdom destiny is engaged by a choice to pursue seeing who Jesus sees and wanting what Jesus wants. (Eph 3:20-21)
